I’ve been having a blast meeting up with other photographers in the area. Winter is the best time for me to meet new people because we all get a bit busy in the summer, although I do hope that I’ll get to enjoy this summer too! A couple of personal photos… these I shot in JPEG so that I can quickly process them on my super-duper old laptop.
I’ve acquired 2 more lenses – the 24-70mm f/2.8 (an all around butterific Nikon lens) and the 60mm f/2.8D – through some excellent Craigslist transactions. The 24-70mm is just a great zoom lens to have during weddings, I especially love using it for large wedding parties and for crazy dancing during receptions. The 60mm is a macro, so I can use it for ring shots and detail shots. I met up with Li of Fat Orange Cat Studio to have some fun (always excellent to know another Nikon shooter)! We lasted maybe all of 20 minutes in the cold
The following images were all taken with the 60mm

I adore Li’s hat, gloves, scarf, coat, everything…. it almost makes me forget that we’re not in the dead of winter

Li’s photo of me using the 24-70mm. I’m wearing a hat underneath my hoodie

What have you all been doing during this cold time of the year?
