I recently second shot for Brett Alison Photography at a fun wedding down in Cape Cod. I’m actually going to be Brett’s wedding photographer later this year, so it was really cool getting to work with her and learn more about her. I’m so honored to have been selected as her wedding photog, being a photog’s photog is possibly the best compliment ever!

Typically a second shooter takes getting ready photos with the groom’s side while the primary is with the bride’s side. The groom and his friends were very laidback, catching up on college football. Definitely not the chaos you see in the bridal suite!

JD recited a couple things not to forget when leaving: the programs and the rings! Good thing he remembered!

I love this moment – the minister told Julia and JD to turn around and see how so many of their families and friends had come to see them get married

The whole wedding had a green / blue beach feel to it. The favors were CDs with a large shell tied to the cover

The reception was held at the Orleans Yacht Club in Brewster, MA

They danced as they entered the reception

I have a big soft spot in my heart for this capture of the father-daughter dance. I love seeing the father so happy!
