A windy adventure through the most picturesque scenes of Newport, Rhode Island, Kat and Tim’s wedding was nothing but lots of fun, romance, and bringing people together from all over the world! Like myself, both Kat and Tim have have lived in many countries, it was great seeing people come from as far as Belgium – where many of Kat’s family resides. Read on for a wedding filled with tradition and modern elements!
We all got ready at the Sea View Inn in Middleton, Rhode Island
If you recall from their engagement photos, Kat and Tim’s daughter M is the joy of their lives and was the flower girl for the wedding

Their wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Newport, a gorgeous church with a rich history – Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy were married here as well
The guests were welcomed in with a traditional bagpiper

This was one of my favorite parts of the ceremony – the priest asked everyone to extend their hands in prayer over the couple

Little M got tired pretty quickly before our portraits started. Here she is having a grand old time on the trolley!
Did I say trolley? Yes, the wedding party traveled in style on a trolley from Rockstar Limo
The bridesmaids’ GORGEOUS green dresses were from J. Crew. I’m loving all the colors and floral work in this wedding!

How cool are Tim’s socks? A great way to insert your personality into your wedding day attire!
We allocated about 2.5 hours for portraits – and were thus able to travel all over Newport for amazing views of the ocean, rolling grass… it was definitely a photographer’s playground! It was a bit cloudy that day, but I’m really glad there was no rain!

I LOVE the headband that Kat’s wearing

Kat’s father served in the Navy, and so our reception was at the Officer’s Club of the Naval Station at Newport, Rhode Island

Here are Kat’s parents watching the first dance
I had a lot of fun getting to know the three DJs from Aquidneck Island Music. They were amazingly professional, kind, and really knew how to get the crowd going! People danced even off the dance floor!
This was one of my favorite parts of the night – the DJ had all the married couples dance on the floor and slowly eliminated them until the couple who was married the longest remained. Then the guests joined in a circle all around them. What a touching way to affirm commitment!
Now for the details round-up! The wedding had a lot of seafood appetizers – after all, it was the Naval Station
Row 1: Escort cards, smoked salmon array, and a large print of one of our engagement photos!
Row 2: Centerpieces, the bride’s + bridesmaid bouquets, seafood rolls
Row 3: Oysters and clams, wedding cake topper, table numbers
Congratulations Kat and Tim, it was so nice to get to know you two and little M, and I wish you nothing but the best as your family grows!
