When you’re in love, you’re in love. It’s pure, simple, and you don’t need to add anything extra to it. That’s exactly how I’d describe Amy and Malik. Malik is a super-sweetheart, he proposed to Amy when they were snorkeling in Honduras by putting the ring on the bottom of a rock he had her pick up. I’m so glad it didn’t get swept away or anything! Amy (who just returned from a business trip to Senegal) is an epidemiologist at Healthmap.org, check out her awesome HealthMap of Haiti. I’m so glad we got to meet during my last trip back to Boston this year.
This is my favorite photo from the shoot. I almost didn’t have to do any editing to it. I think the best photographs speak for themselves
It was really cold and cloudy that day, props to Amy and Malik for toughing it out! We did our fall-inspired engagement shoot at the campus of the Harvard Medical School
When I take photos like these I often ask the couple how they like to hold each other. There is so much language in how hands interact
No fall shoot is complete without some leaf tossing. You’ll be seeing more of these in my other November shoots!
This session also fulfilled one of my dreams of shooting with colorful newspaper stands. No joke, I’ve always wanted to get photos by a bunch of them!
Push that color!
Gorgeous eyes!
I will be returning in the spring to capture their wedding at the Boston Public Garden!
