S & R commissioned these engagement photos with me for their wedding in Indonesia this coming June. I’m referring to them by their first initials because we don’t want their guests to be googling for these photos ;) they’re a surprise! S & R are both working in Chicago and really wanted this engagement photo session to reflect their love for the city and show off the beautiful skyline. They originally had an engagement session in the winter but it was done during a snowstorm, so it was also very important to prioritize color for this shoot. For that very reason we actually bumped the session up by one day at the very last minute to avoid a forecast of thunderstorms. It worked out!
We began at Navy Pier
It was super-busy that day – there was a prom at the Crystal Gardens. Nevertheless I was able to find some quieter spots

Thank you guys so much for these amazing spots and for really going the super super extra mile – we extended the session at the end and waited for the sun to go down to get some of the city lights
