I’m back from Nicole and Lino’s amazing wedding down in San Juan, Puerto Rico! I have so much more to blog from a busy, busy summer, but I thought I’d share some snapshots of some fun I’ve had along the way =)
Near the end of June after becoming a full-time photographer, my friend Eveleen and I celebrated the beginning of summer with a free day at the beach. We visited Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA, and also grabbed ice cream at Russell Orchards and lunch at The Clam Box
This is currently my Facebook profile picture. It’s so darn happy! Thanks Eveleen!

Eveleen loves her film camera
She also brought some Polaroids for us to play with

One can never have too much ice cream

My parents always love telling this story of how I craved ice cream so much as a kid that it always ruined nice dinners. Like a lobster dinner in Bar Harbor. Just ask them sometime =)
Emily of Emily Ku Photography accompanied me down to Puerto Rico for the wedding this past weekend. We were pretty exhausted the day after photographing the wedding (we left at 2AM, the party lasted until 4AM), but we managed to soak in the beauty that is Old San Juan for Independence Day! I hope the next time I do a destination wedding I can stay a little longer and plan for a day-after shoot in the city. It’s just so beautiful!
Two tourists who passed us made a snide remark about what is up with Asians and large cameras. Hey, gotta do what you gotta do to get the shot. Plus, we’re professionals ;) It was quite a workout carrying it in humid, 90-degree weather

All photos taken of me are by Emily, of course. I’m a big goof when it comes to funny statues

Old San Juan is known for its blue cobble stones
And of course, the pastel colored buildings. I could photograph here forever!

If there is one cute hotel to stay at, it would be the Hotel El Convento – a former convent. It has a gorgeous sun-drenched, lush courtyard. They were actually setting up for a wedding that weekend too, but we couldn’t get close enough for a good shot of the ballroom. Trust me though, it’s a good spot =)

We finished our touristy day at El Morro – the famous fort that guards San Juan

Inside joke for wedding photographers – I thought this spot would be GREAT for a back-of-the-dress silhouette shot. Emily will have to do for a bride for now haha!
