Those of you who are my fans on Facebook probably already got a good look at these photos, but it always looks better on the blog :P Lai and Stephen’s wedding fell on my birthday, and so my coverage of their wedding was restricted to the morning. Nevertheless, it was an awe-inspiring production of luscious colors, the collaboration of two loving families, and the typical chaos that one can expect with weddings. I loved every moment of it! Lai and Stephen had a very traditional Vietnamese ceremony where the groom’s family comes bearing platters of food – AND one giant 30-pound roasted pig! I believe that all of us managed to finish that pig for lunch, quite impressive.
Lai and Stephen are one of those couples who can make each other laugh no matter what. Lai is super-spunky, I was so attracted to her personality off the top, she never takes herself too seriously. Stephen and I go way back to my freshman year of college when we went on this one-week community service-like trip in downtown Boston where we basically played with kids at a Boys and Girls Club for a whole week. He is steady, laid-back, and really cares for everyone around him. These two are such a great pair!
Lai’s gorgeous ao dai… we got ready in her room, and can I just say, I LOVE the green of her walls

Getting ready =) Lai’s bridesmaid, Judy, is an AMAZING hair dresser!

Platters of food!

Presentation of gifts

I love Lai’s smile!

Jump!

We had about ~20 minutes to do portraits alone. We couldn’t travel far so we did them near the church. I am so enraptured by how well the colors go together

Way too hilarious – it was so hot that the Stephen’s hat stained his head!!!! Thank goodness it washed out

Some shots I took during the ceremony. Look out for the full coverage coming from the awesome Dan and Jules of Jules Ko Photography!
