I had the honor of kicking off my wedding photography career in San Francisco with none other than second shooting for my dear friend Anna Wu. For those of you who follow me on my Facebook Page (if you haven’t, you should), you’ll know that she also photographed my recent one-year anniversary session with my boyfriend which I’m dying to share!
For now, here’s a beautifully modern wedding at Treasure Island – a short ride over on the Bay Bridge which offers fantastic views of the city (especially the financial district) without the price of hiking over to Alcatraz. I don’t second shoot much due to my schedule, but it’s great to every now and then be able to slow down and really, really focus on the moments and all the additional players who make a wedding happen. Many of the photos in this collection remain true to my photojournalistic nature – in the moment, telling the story, and letting the emotion carry. The bride’s mother helped put the finishing touches to the dress. The getting ready happened at the super modern Hyatt Hotel on the Embarcadero
It was a pretty cold and cloudy day! The two nevertheless were so laid back
Their dog was the ringbearer
While Anna got the ceremony, I caught this little girl running =)
Their daughter made an appearance!
Heartfelt reactions to two really great toasts
The sun finally broke through the clouds and we ran out to get these shots of the city!
Anna at work! As a second shooter, I always like to support my primary by getting photos of them at work
There was no shortage of beautiful floral details at this wedding, I loved it!
The pops of bright red and orange against white and blue made for a perfect seaside theme
Not to mention, there were orchids and dahlias, just a couple of my favorite flowers!
The couple had stations for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious
Lots of pretty little girls were dancing on the dance floor. I particularly loved seeing how happy this one was
