Having never owned a pet in my life, it wasn’t until I began working with families with pets when I realized just how significant they are! I’ve come to see the impact of having a pet in your life. In fact, many of my couples mention how having a pet first is a great way to judge how one might foster children in the future. So if you own a pet, I more than welcome incorporating a couple photos with them in your wedding or photo session! We might need a little extra help looking after the pet after the photos are taken. After all, the session’s focus is you, not your pet, I’m not a pet photographer – contact Fat Orange Cat Studio for that, but like any special event that is photographed, family – furry or human – is family, and should be included!
I do have to admit though, I get along better with dogs. I’ve gotten scratched by cats a lot and they don’t pay much attention to me =(
You could have your pet during your portrait session, like how Danielle and Peder did
Or be the center of attention! Remember Violet at Nicole and Lino’s wedding?
Or if you’re too busy, they can run around and get captured as I see them, like I did so at Laura and Scott’s wedding
Kids and pets, too fun =)
Happy Friday everyone! I’m off to photograph a two-day Indian wedding!
